I wrote this song in Amsterdam during a cold spell that froze all the canals and waterways. It's only happened a couple of times in the last 100 years. The Nederlanders respond by skating on the canals through several cities in a race that takes all day. I saw on the news that a man's nose froze off and he didn't know it until the end of the race. I'm pretty sure there was some drinking involved.

lyrics
Begging For Your Arms
Why must I be brought so low
Why
You said goodbye to me a million years ago
You said that you would always be there
I turned away I said I just don’t care
Here I am
I’m begging for your arms again
Why must I be brought so low
Why
Out on the street when it’s ten below
You said that you would always be there
To lift me up from my despair
