about
When I see myself in this old picture with Albert Collins in Amsterdam I wonder where did the time go. I know that I was there, but I'm quite sure that I didn't fully appreciate it. Marylin Mason, a long time friend from Eugene, called me at my Amsterdam apartment and said she was in town to see Albert perform. Marylin, as it turns out, is a friend of Albert Collins and is meeting him for dinner - would I like to join them? I'm a huge fan, of course, of Albert's stinging guitar style. He can kill you with one note - but to sit down with the man and have a leisurely one-hour dinner in a five-star restaurant in one of the most beautiful cities in the world... well, that's pretty close to as good as it gets.

Trouble Boys
Trouble boys came in
They must have been out
Fighting and a raving
It wasn't long before they moved in to pick up
The girls we brought to the dance at the night spot
It wasn't tame
So I had to move fast to get my baby back
From the trouble boys
Twenty five guys from the east side of the city
Want a hell raising in the, the neighborhood
One of 'em walked up
And started dancing with my girl who was crying
'Cause I didn't stop him
All I could say to my baby was a honey
This man is bigger than the both of us
He's a trouble boy
And there's trouble boys all around me
No one likes gettin' sand kicked in the face
I don't want to stand face to face
With the trouble boys
Yeah the trouble boys
I thought to myself it's time to make a move
I breathed my last sigh and started to groove
With my baby who was still dancin' with the other guy
By the look in her eyes I was a martyr
She knew I was dead 'cause no one cuts in
On a trouble boy
Twenty five gorillas all around me
I was shakin' like a leaf on a, an autumn tree
Well the leader came up and he grabbed my hand
He shook it like a brother didn't break it like I thought he said
Good job buddy you're the only one who stood up to the trouble boys
